My wife and I started attending Faith Lutheran Church (FLC) with our grandchildren in September 2011. Our previous experience had been with several military chapels. We found ourselves in need of finding another Church home. We tried a few local churches and upon our very first visit to Faith Lutheran Church we felt right at home – like family. It is important to me that God’s Word be present in the preaching and teachings in the Worship Service and in Bible Studies. Our continued visits were not different than we first experienced. As a matter of fact, we have grown with this family of believers and are comforted by their continued concern for us as we have with others. We continue to see God’s Word proclaimed – not only through teachings but also in actions. The presence of God’s Holy Spirit is found here at Faith. Jesus has declared that “He is the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father but by Him.” Do not be afraid – just believe.

Our faith is all that is necessary, however, FLC demonstrates that through many works as well. Spiritual growth is always encouraged through Adult Studies (men, women and combined), Sunday School, Confirmation classes, Summer Day Camp and youth group to name a few.

There are plenty of outreach opportunities within the community and elsewhere. A few of our programs include Family Promise, food pantry and clothing closet, as well as benevolence to a university and church in Ghana. There are plenty of opportunities to be had and we are willing to share the work with all that would like to join us.

My family and I are extremely happy with our association with Faith Lutheran Church and would welcome all comers. Are you new to the area or looking for a new church home? I heartily invite you to come check us out – you will be amazed at what is in store for you.

May God continue to bless you.
