An important part of faith formation is continued learning. Here at Faith Lutheran, we believe that spiritual growth is a lifelong process. There are numerous opportunities for Christians of all ages to come together and learn from God's Word, the Bible.
Children's ministry: Sunday mornings during the school year, we offer Sunday School classes for kids in Kindergarten - 5th grade. These classes are grouped by age and taught by caring adults who love children and want to share the good news with young hearts and minds. We focus on gaining an understanding of core Bible knowledge while, at the same time, demonstrating how it's applicable to daily life.
Youth ministry: Sunday School doesn't end when elementary school does! We have middle school(grades 6-8) and high school (grades 9-12) class for young people following worship each week during the school year. Building upon the fundamentals learned in Sunday School, our upper-grade level classes help students dig deeper into God's Word and how it can help them develop into more mature Christians. Sunday school, at this age, also serves as a place to form and strengthen relationships with other Christian teens, which is essential at this age.
Confirmation: In the Lutheran tradition, confirmation education is a journey. This two year course allows young people (generally middle school age) to explore and gain a more complete understanding of what they believe, culminating in a reaffirmation of their baptismal promises and launching into their more active, mature faith life as young adults.
Youth Group: This is a come-as-you-are meeting for teens to gather and bring their friends. In addition to games and food, we take part of the evening to break into discussion groups, with Bible-based topics. There's also time for prayer...with one another and for one another.
Adult Education: At Faith, we understand that adults learn in a variety of ways and are at differing points in their faith journeys. That's why we offer a variety of classes and groups, to meet you where you are. Sunday mornings generally offer 1-2 adult classes. Other groups meet during the week. An important part of adult education is that it allows you to connect with others in the congregation in a more personal way, beyond just worshiping together. You'll discover the "family" feeling that is the reason so many people have made Faith Lutheran their church home. See our adult education page for more details. There's something for everyone. Don't see something that meets your needs or works with your schedule? Just ask. New small group studies are always being developed.
