Morning Bible Study to focus on the  big “Whys” of life

Beginning Sunday, September 11, our Adult Sunday morning Bible study will focus on the big “whys” of life.  Topics to be discussed are those such as, “Why is science not enough?”  “Why the Bible and not some other religious book?”  “Why Jesus?”  “Why is there so much suffering in the world.”  This will be the only Sunday morning adult Bible for the fall as it is my desire as pastor to make sure we all have opportunity to study these questions and that we are all firmly standing on the core teachings of Scripture and of Jesus.  I hope you will join me for this time together in God’s Word where the Lord provides us with principles to live life by and the power of the Holy Spirit  by which to live in the strength of Christ!

How Much of the Bible Do You Want To Know? Beginning September 17th, we will be offering the Bethel Bible Series, New Testament . This is a course that requires commitment and, of course, dedication. Using the Bible as the text book, the Bethel Series leads the participants through the whole of Scripture. Classes will be held on Thursday evenings 6:30 to 8:30 PM . We will spend two hours in each class and it will be extremely important that those who enroll attend every class. As with any program of advanced education, there are costs for the Bethel Series: the books and materials for the year cost $65.00 , or $25 for a digital version plus $10.00 for other materials. If someone has the printed materials from a previous class, there will be a $10.00 cost for the year. As you plan for your growth in the Word over the next year and beyond, consider the Bethel Series as the one program that will help you to continue to learn and to grow for years to come. Later this month we will ask those who plan to be part of the Bethel Series to sign up. Study to show yourself approved by God, a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. — 2Timothy 2:15
